I started to learn Russian from the August 2008, one year has past, I'm so disappointed with me, I just learned so little, I can't even express my idea to someone else, I'm now writing this post to motivate me to put more time and energy to Russian, or I'll lose all what I'm looking for in the future.
As a salesman, or if you want to be a great salesman, you need to have many abilities: communication ability, negotiation ability, professional knowledge....... You can improve these ability during daily work and daily life. But please note, when you're improving, others are improving too, it's easy to make the same progress with other ones, that means you have no advantage beyond your competiators.
I understand this poind very much, it's not humble,it's a living skill. I must abtain somthing, which is difficult to obtain by someone else, at least he can't obtain it even he know it. I choosed learning another language, after many years learning English but still not good enougt, I know well in China, 80% students are compelled to learn English by Chinese exam system, it's really much more difficult to learn English in China than in Western countries, everyone know this very well. But why did i choose Russian instead of other language e.g. German, Japanese, Korean. There're really much more business between China and the above countries than Russian. But I believe the Chinese idiom: Even a died thin camel looks bigger than horse! Right, Russia is going through a hard time these years, but I believe he would come back to super power in the future.
I'll be ready on that day.
